About

My singing started as a teenager and I was soon directed into classical church music and a choral scholarship at Cambridge University. This solid grounding in classical music provided a foundation for the mind but not the soul and it was only in my 20s that I found my spiritual home in Gospel music.

After singing with the unique Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir for 12 years, I left to focus on having a family and my career as a child clinical psychologist. But the pull of Gospel singing was irresistible and I soon found myself directing Tyndale Community Gospel Choir. After Covid, I started singing with different year groups at a local primary school, showing me just how much I loved working with children too.

In 2023, I decided to start formal training in singing teaching with BAST which was transformational in opening the door to the possibilities of sharing singing with others. Now with a Level 5 Singing Teacher Diploma and three years voice coaching both individuals and groups, my passion for guiding others to find the singing voice they desire has deepened further. What a variety of experiences have come my way! These have included solo and group performance, leading singing sessions at team away days, providing consultation to vocal groups and working with other organisations to support fundraising concerts and events.

I aim to foster joy and connection among those I sing with. I believe that through song, we can build resilience, find personal creativity, and celebrate our shared humanity. My mission is to inspire and uplift those I work with, helping them to find strength and health in vocal self-expression and cultivate meaningful connections through music. I hope I’ll hear about your singing journeys – do get in touch!
